Our Story
I spent my youth in Seoul, South Korea on a U.S. military base called Yongsan Garrison, before relocating to southern Alabama in 2010 with my family. As a Korean American, I was unsure of how my journey would unfold, as I felt like a fish out of water in every room I stepped in. Despite those feelings, I clung to honoring my culture and learning recipes through my mother. Every bonding session in the kitchen turned into a teaching lesson, as I meticulously watched her make kimchi, soups, and side dishes that brought comfort in a landscape unknown to me.
Our Mission
Utilizing the freshest ingredients to share recipes passed down through generations of Korean women, and through tradition, honoring their legacy.
We want to offer fresh kimchi that is made with in-season produce from farmers in Alabama to support local businesses, and to make sure our customers are getting the best quality available. We’re also excited to cultivate community around shared love for Kimchi!
